Hailey Sadler is an independent documentary photographer based out of Washington, D.C. Formerly a Congressional Communications Director, she left politics to begin documenting the human toll of policymakers' decisions both at home and abroad. Her style is intimate and instinctual, and her work focuses on the resilience and fragility of the human spirit in the face of conflict, trauma, and displacement, taking her from Bangladesh to Afghanistan to Lebanon to West Virginia. Sadler is a member of the U.S. Press Association, Journalism and Women Symposium, and Women Photojournalists of Washington, and is fully trained and certified in emergency first aid and surviving hostile environments.
